The Action Items are intended to provide the
Commission the opportunity to discuss the issue at hand and ask questions of
the applicant. Generally, the public is not to comment during this time;
however, the Chairperson may make an exception.
1)
City Secretary to administer oaths of office and statement of office to all
Commissioners.
2)
Discuss and Consider the appointment of Chairperson.
3)
Discuss and Consider the appointment of
Vice-Chairperson.
4)
Discuss and Consider approval of the minutes from the December 14, 2006
Planning and Zoning Meeting.
5)
Discuss and Consider the tree ordinance.
6)
Discuss and Consider the lighting ordinance.
Citizen Input
The Planning & Zoning Commission invites citizens
to speak on any City business item. In accordance with the Open Meetings Act,
comments of public interest will be heard, but no action may be taken by the
Planning & Zoning other than to refer the item to a future agenda. Please
complete and submit to the City Administrator a “Public Meeting Appearance”
sheet prior to the meeting.

As
authorized by Section 551.071 (2) of the Local Government Code, the Planning
and Zoning Commission may convene into closed Executive Session for the purpose
of seeking confidential legal advice from the City Attorney regarding any item
on the agenda at any time during the meeting.
