NOTICE is hereby given that the Regular Meeting of the Planning & Zoning Commission of the City of Lucas will be held on Thursday, August 9, 2007, at 7:00 p.m. at the Lucas City Annex, 185 Country Club Road, Lucas, Texas, at which time the following Agenda will be discussed.

Citizen Input

The Planning & Zoning Commission invite citizens to speak on any City business item. In accordance with the Open Meetings Act, comments of public interest will be heard, but no action may be taken by the Planning & Zoning other than to refer the item to a future agenda. Please complete and submit to the City Administrator a “Public Meeting Appearance” sheet prior to the meeting.

 

1) Citizen’s Comments.

 

Public Hearings

The Public Hearing agenda is provided for the purpose of allowing citizens to ask specific questions regarding only the subject posted for the Public Hearing. Generally the Public Hearing is required by State Law and a record of those attending the Public Hearing is maintained as part of the official record of the proceedings.

 

2) Public Hearing/Discuss and Consider the application made by William Vincent

Stilwell, Jr., to re-plat the property described as 6.23 acres situated in the J.

Lovelady Survey, Abstract No. 538, Brookhaven Ranch Estates, Lot 3 in Collin

County Texas (zoned R-2), generally located West of FM 1378 on Brookhaven

Drive. Applicant requests the re-plat of property to two (2) ± three (3) acre

tracts.

 

Regular Action Agenda

The Action Items are intended to provide the Commission the opportunity to discuss the issue at hand and ask questions of the applicant. Generally, the public is not to comment during this time; however, the Chairperson may make an exception.

 

3) Discuss and Consider the site plan for Grace Evangelical Church.

 

4) Discuss and Consider the approval of the minutes from the Planning & Zoning

Commission July 12, 2007 Regular Meeting.

 

5) Discuss and Consider conducting two meetings per month rather than one

marathon meeting. [Buickerood]

 

6) Discuss and Consider the proposed zoning use table. [Olk]

 

Routine Business

 

7) Discussion of items to be placed on future agendas.

 

8) Adjournment.

 

As authorized by Section 551.071 (2) of the Local Government Code, the Planning and Zoning Commission may convene into closed Executive Session for the purpose of seeking confidential legal advice from the City Attorney regarding any item on the agenda at any time during the meeting.
