Notice is hereby given that a Regular Meeting of the City Council of the City of Lucas will be held on Monday, July 17, 2006, at 7:00 PM at the Lucas City Annex, 185 Country Club Road, Lucas, Texas, at which time the following Agenda will be discussed.

The Mayor and City Council invites citizens to speak on any City business item. In accordance with the Open Meetings Act, comments of public interest will be heard, but no action may be taken by the City Council other than to refer the item to a future agenda. Please complete and submit to the City Administrator a “Public Meeting Appearance” sheet prior to the meeting.

Consent Agenda

The Consent Agenda is used to increase the efficiency of time. All items listed under the Consent Agenda may be considered by a single motion, second and passage by a majority vote of the Council present at the time of consideration. Any member of Council may remove an item from the Consent Agenda prior to a motion to act upon the agenda.

 

3) Consent and approve the minutes from the July 6, 2006 City Council Regular

Meeting.

4) Consideration/Discussion/Action on the award of a contract for 8” Highland Circle Waterline (Brockdale Road) and water meter upgrade.

 

5) Consideration/Discussion/Action on the award of a contract for Asphalt Level up on Winningkoff Road to Wopac Construction, Inc.

 

6) Consideration/Discussion/Action on the approval of a change order of up to 25% of the Reynolds overlay paving contract (not to exceed $ 29,636.63) for pavement maintenance to Snider Lane.

 

7) Consideration/Discussion/Action on approval of an Interlocal Agreement between the City of Lucas and Collin County regarding recycling program.

 

8) Consideration/Discussion/Action on approval of an Interlocal Agreement between the City of Lucas and Lovejoy ISD regarding recycling program container to be located at Hart Elementary.

 

9) Consideration/Discussion/Action on the appointment of board members to the

Board of Adjustment (5 members, 4 alternates).

As authorized by Section 551.071 (2) of the Local Government Code, the City Council may

convene into closed Executive Session for the purpose of seeking confidential legal advice from the City Attorney regarding any item on the agenda at any time during the meeting.
