LOVEJOY ISD ADOPTS TAX RATE
The LISD 2004-2005 tax rate has been approved at $1.8234 per $100 valuation ($1.50 Maintenance & Operations, $0.3234 Interest & Sinking Fund).

2003-2004 Information:

Lovejoy ISD adopted a total tax rate of $1.703 per $100 property valuation at the August 26, 2003 special meeting of the board of trustees. The tax rate includes a Maintenance and Operations rate of $1.50, which is the state allowed maximum, and an Interest and Sinking Fund rate of $0.203 (required to pay bond interest and principal).

The final proposed budget for 2003-2004 shows expenditures of $10,595,215 with an expected surplus of $937,058.

Local revenue from M&O taxes ($1.50 on value of $757,323,388) is $11,132,654 and revenue from the state is $399,619.

6th grade graduation:
The 2004-2005 school year will be the last year for sixth grade graduation. As Lovejoy transitions into secondary schools, the sixth graders will remain in LISD; therefore, graduation ceremonies will be reserved for graduating high school seniors. (There will be a celebration for 5th graders transitioning into middle school).
