2008 CAMPAIGN FLYERS AND LINKS
WANTED
As a free service to candidates for either the Lovejoy ISD Board of Trustees
or Lucas City Council, we are once again offering web space to either host an
electronic
copy campaign flyer on lucastxonline.com or provide a link to your campaign
web site.
After some trial and error, the format that appears to work best for
combining photos and text is to provide it to us as an Adobe .PDF formatted
file.
You should be able to generate one of these from MS Word using a free Adobe
tool for formatting. We won't spend any time formatting your document. If you
are
more web savvy, you can provide .html, but do not assume that your formatting
will look the same in all browsers. We can sometimes work with MS Word
formatted
files to generate .html output, but photo formatting rarely works.
IMPORTANT: Please include a disclaimer at the bottom of your ad which
states "Political Advertisement by Candidate Name, Candidate
Address”

information and agendas for upcoming meetings.
It is possible to submit input through the official city site even if you
cannot attend a particular meeting.

Mixed
stream recycling is now available in Lucas. It is no longer necessary to separate out
your recyclable material or haul it in your
car to a mixed stream recycling point. Lucas's
waste disposal contractor, Barnes Waste Disposal, now provides curbside
recycling.
